From Washington DC and Baltimore, MD
1. From Washington DC: Take I-270 north to Frederick then take I-70 west to Hancock, MD
From Baltimore: Take I-70 west to Hancock, MD
From Frederick: Take I-70 west to Hancock, MD
2. At Hancock, take I-68 west and travel through Cumberland, MD
to Grantsville, MD
3. At Grantsville, take Route 495 south (Exit 19)- left turn off exit
4. After 17 miles, pass Anchor Mart at Curt's Corner store on your right
5. At the top of the hill, take right onto Sky Valley Road
6. Thousand Acres entrance approximately 1 mile
From Pittsburgh, PA and Morgantown, WV
1. From Pittsburgh take I-79 south to Morgantown, WV
2. At Morgantown take I-68 east towards Cumberland, MD
3. At Grantsville, take Route 495 south - right turn off exit
4. After 17 miles, pass Anchor Mart at Curt's Corner store on your right
5. At the top of the hill, turn right onto Sky Valley Road
6. Thousand Acres entrance approximately 1 mile
From Oakland, MD and Swanton, MD
1. Take Route 135 north to Swanton
2. Continue straight through first blinking light (Sand Flat Rd is on left)
3. At second blinking light go straight - this becomes Route 495 north
4. At Swanton, take Route 495 north (left coming from blinking lights)
5. At the top of second the hill (couple of miles) take left onto Sky Valley Road
6. Thousand Acres entrance approximately 1 mile
From McHenry, MD and Arrowhead Market
1. From McHenry : Take Route 219 south towards Oakland
From Arrowhead : From parking lot take left onto
1. Route 219 south towards Oakland
2. Take first left after Arrowhead Market (less than 100 yards) onto Glendale Road
3. Cross over Glendale Bridge then take 4th right onto North Glade Road
4. Take North Glade Road then take a right onto Route 495 south at Anchor Mart at Curt's Corner store
5. At the top of the hill, just beyond Anchor Mart, turn right onto Sky Valley Road
6. Thousand Acres entrance approximately 1 mile
